Reindeer - Delux Plush Doll

As an artist who likes to MAKE things, I find documenting things really challenging!

It's not as fun to set up a photoshoot, take a pile of pictures, weed through all the shots to find some good ones, edit the colours and framing, jumble together a collage... it's just not my cup of tea!

But it is necessary. So here's some (way overdue) pictures of my Christmas present to a very sweet boy.

Love this doll, I think it turned out so well. The little velvety antlers are my favorite.

next teddy bear doll

Working on another customized teddy bear doll, this time of black & white dragon.

Sewing all those little stripes makes this a very slow project to work on; I can't cheat and use the sewing machine for delicate curvy bits. I hope posting progress shots of this online will inspire me to finish it more quickly.

pattern pieces

In addition to large-scale projects, I've been working on a customized teddy bear pattern. What started off as a simple 10 piece project quickly spiraled into a 24" monster of innumerable seams and pieces. I think the latest count was something like 74 individual pieces in 6 different materials. Whew!

I should really get around to attaching his head, hmm.
